How verification works

Every event you see has been through two independent AI passes:

1. Extraction — an agent reads the source page and pulls structured event data (title, date, location, age, cost, registration URL) into a strict schema.
2. Verification — a second agent independently fetches the registration URL, confirms the page exists, the title and date match, and the age range is consistent. Only events that pass both checks ship.

Why two agents

AI extraction alone hallucinates dates, ages, and URLs often enough that you can't trust the output for time-sensitive content. A second pass that explicitly verifies against the live page catches most of those errors before they get to you.

Sources

The source registry is hand-curated. New candidate sites are surfaced by an agent that searches the web and scores them for whether they actually list events for the target city and audience — but every source has to be manually approved before it contributes.
